Varsity Head Coach - Bob Thomas

Bob Thomas, Jr. has been the head coach of the Severna Park Falcon Soccer program for four years. In the fall of 2004, Bob led his team to a 3A East title and at the end of the season the Falcon’s Varsity participated in the 3A Maryland State Final championship.

As an assistant coach in 2001, Thomas assisted the Varsity program to the undefeated season and the 2002 County Championship. He was an All-Conference selection at Salisbury University, where he led the Sea Gulls to their first ever Conference Championship and NCAA Elite Eight appearance. As an Anne Arundel County High School standout, Bob was an All-County and All-State selection. Coach Thomas is a Health/Physical Education teacher at Severna Park High School. He is also the Select Director for the Green Hornets Soc cer Program and head coach of the U-15 NCSL Div. 2 Elite club team.

Coach Thomas holds NSCAA Advanced and Goal Keeping Diplomas. When not coaching soccer, Bob spends his time with his lovely wife Christina and beautiful daughter Gabrielle.

Varsity Assistant Coach - Stan Malm

Stan Malm is a 1975 graduate of Severna Park High School where he has served as Assistant Soccer Coach for several years.

Coach Malm has also coached Select Soccer for 15 years in three different organizations. One of his teams, the (U-19) Freestate Dragons, was two-time NCSL Division One Champion and a Maryland State Cup Finalist Team.

Stan is the Director of Coaching for the MSYSA Central East Region, and he has coached in the District Development Program for eight years, and Olympic Development Program for one year. Coach Malm holds a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) "D" license and a Dutch intermediate license.

JV Coach - Zach Thompson

Volunteer JV Coach - Johan de Vicq

Coach de Vicq was born and raised in the Netherlands and has been playing soccer since he was old enough to identify a ball. A product of the Xerxe s Rotterdam youth system (Dutch 1st Division – Amateurs) he has played in events in Holland, Continental Europe, England and the US (Including work-outs with Bolton Wanderers and Blackpool FC).

Coach Johan holds “D”, “E” and “F” coaching licenses from the US Soccer Federation (USSF), “State”, “Regional” and “National” Goalkeeping Coach licenses from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) as well as several certificates from the English Football Association (FA).

When not working with the Falcons’ goalkeepers and JV players, Coach Johan gives new meaning to the slogan “friendly skies” as a pilot for a major US airline.
